Netherlands, the Hometown

This photo is an exact sample of the beautiful Netherlands, the hometown of my friend Wim. This is how I see it in my perspective.

Beautiful cozy houses along the water channels, and those traces of moving boats through the water. In addition to a gap between two parked boats, reflects to me invites us to this charming scene and, even more so, invites into the magical world of Wim, as a photographer!

Time Respect to History

Alireza writes:

Wim is a master in taking shots of old stuff and abandoned interiors. In his photography he reflects the beautiful, charming side of those subjects in such attractive compositions.

This photo tells me the respectfulness of “time”; respectfulness to the old things, as these old stuffs still reflect their relationship perfectly to each other.

Wow, I love this photo! As we proposed to process RAW files in this international project, I first encountered with the coloured picture of this frame.

Constructing a beautiful composition of subjects by Wim, he turns the forms to be so rich in this picture. Despite Wim's initial intent to create it colourful, I decided to process that in B&W in order to show the strength of a masterly composed perspective of subjects.

Time Hands

Alireza writes:

This picture reminds me the tick-tack play of the time. Every detail in this picture has signs of passing time, just as the clock hands change their position through tick-tock play.

Hence, I decided to process this image as much as possible in a way that can be reflected in both colour and details. In this perspective, the hands of time is obviously shines on all parts!

Wim van de Water, self-portrait

Edited: Alireza Vafa

Alireza writes:

Wim is the king of old abandoned interior architecture photography. I praise his ability on creating such master artworks through an unusual perspectives of dusty old places. This ability needs a pure shiny soul of artist to purify the scene and extract its beautiful charming side!

Having this in my imagination, I simply processed this Wim's self-portraiture as if he is a King, king of the old fashioned world photography!
